Well, certainly no problem there. A high ranking Democrat going to a Democratic event hosted by a Democrat who works for a largely Democratic company whose contributions to Democrats far out way their contributions to Republicans. Certainly a "safe haven" for any Democrat, right? Not so for Harry Reid. According to Gasparino's article.
" ...Reid was verbally harangued by several senior Goldman executives, including Cohn himself, for being part of the growing chorus of politicians who are using anti-Wall Street rhetoric to score political points."The article goes on to say that according to people with direct knowledge of the event Cohn most vociferous lambasting Reid.
How elegant and sophisticated these Goldmanites are as they prove once again their arrogance and total disregard for anyone other then themselves. And they wonder why they are so hated!
An old friend of mine once said to me, "money doesn't care who owns it", meaning having money does not give one any amount of class or sophistication. This statement certainly holds true for Goldmanites. What they all have in cash is equaled only by what they exhibit in stupidity, ignorance, selfishness and arrogance.
We would all agree that a private dinner event whose main purpose is to raise money for a politcial party you so strongly support is the absolute wrong place to air your dirty laundry not to mention the total lack of protocol and RESPECT in treating an invited guest who holds one of the highest political positions in this country as they did. If we were on the streets of New York talking about them I believe the street would call them "low class bums".

Pretty much describes the populace...
"Most people prefer to believe their leaders are just and fair even in the face of evidence to the contrary, because most people don't want to admit they don't have the courage to do anything about it. Most propaganda is not designed to fool the critical thinker but only to give moral cowards an excuse not to think at all."
