According to the Collins English Dictionary 10th Edition fraud can be defined as: "deceit, trickery, sharp practice, or breach of confidence, perpetrated for profit or to gain some unfair or dishonest advantage".[1] In the broadest sense, a fraud is an intentional deception made for personal gain or to damage another individual; the related adjective is fraudulent. The specific legal definition varies by legal jurisdiction. Fraud is a crime, and also a civil law violation. Defrauding people or entities of money or valuables is a common purpose of fraud, but there have also been fraudulent "discoveries", e.g. in science, to gain prestige rather than immediate monetary gain

Just Plain Scary...The Democratization of The United States

Every day more of our Democracy disappears.  With each new day we are a step closer to a tyrannical form of government that would make our forefathers sit up straight in their graves.

This next move to remove more of our freedom will create an even stronger two class society.  The haves (Wall Street and TBTF corporations like big oil, insurance and pharmaceuticals) will have even more privileged power.  That is how it works in non democratic republics.  Corruption will run even more wild then it does today.  The top class will have immunity (seems like they already have that) while the lower class (the 99%) will live in constant fear.  We are not safe in our homes today as the banks can grab our homes, send in thugs to steal our posessions and physically have us removed - all the while our "nationalized" police force stands by and watches.

This is too important to just gloss over.  As such, I will add links and posts from Washington's Blog as well.

There is a transformation going on in this country.  Some saw it during the rise of Hitler but many in Europe stood by and said it could not happen and there was no danger.  My grandfather was one who did not believe he could be affected...he WAS!

There is a danger here in our America.  Greed and wealth has infected most of our politicians.  They serve not for our country ... they serve for their own personal power and monetary gains.  Unexplained greed has overshadowed the basic principals that this country, its' founders and leaders have always stood for.

These are dark days in our history.

U.S. Senate has just passed a bill that effectively ends the Bill of Rights in America

Politicians currently in office are actively trying to disassemble
the very structure of the United States
(image from original article)
The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) has been passed by the United States Senate and is under revision by the House of Representatives. The amendment to the Act drafted by U.S. Senator Mark Udall is defined in Title X, Subtitle D, SEC 1031(b) of the bill.
In a stunning move that has civil libertarians stuttering with disbelief, the U.S. Senate has just passed a bill that effectively ends the Bill of Rights in America.

From Washington's Blog:

Bush and Obama Are – In Some Ways – Even More Tyrannical Than Hitler and Stalin

Former judge and adjunct professor of constitutional law Andrew Napolitano pointed out in March that the president’s claim that he can indefinitely detain prisoners – even after they are acquitted of their crimes – is a power that even Hitler and Stalin didn’t claim:

...Chris Floyd wrote Monday in connection with the new indefinite detention bill:
And whatever the outcome of this particular bill, the reality will remain the same: the President of the United States will continue to claim — and exercise — absolute arbitrary power over the life [yes, the government has also claimed the power to assassinate American citizens without trial or even oversight] and liberty of every person on earth. As we’ve said here before, not even Adolf Hitler or Josef Stalin at their most megalomaniacal ever dreamed of asserting the kind of universal power now asserted by American presidents and the lickspittlish lackeys in the United States Congress.

Strongmen Have Been Scaring their People Into Submission for Thousands of Years

Of course, Obama – like Bush – claims that tyrannical measures are necessary to fight the war on terror.  But FBI agents and CIA intelligence officials, constitutional law expert professor Jonathan Turley, Time Magazine, Keith Olbermann and the Washington Post have all said that U.S. government officials “were trying to create an atmosphere of fear in which the American people would give them more power”, and even former Secretary of Homeland Security – Tom Ridge – admits that he was pressured to raise terror alerts to help Bush win reelection.
And Hitler, Stalin and other strongmen throughout history have also claimed that tyrannical measures were necessary to fight their wars on terror:
“This and no other is the root from which a tyrant springs; when he first appears he is a protector.”
- Plato
“If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.”
- U.S. President James Madison
“Terrorism is the best political weapon for nothing drives people harder than a fear of sudden death”.
- Adolph Hitler

Pioneering White House correspondent Helen Thomas told a National Press Club audience this week that the country is endangered by what she called government leaders’ greed, fear, and subservience to war-mongers. “I came here in 1943,” she told a dinner audience of 30 on Dec. 7, “and I don’t think I’ve ever seen our country so bereft of ideals and ideas. I don’t see anything on the horizon that can pull us out. I hope I’m wrong.”

Anyone who donates money to a charity that turns up on Bush’s list of “terrorist” organizations, or who speaks out against the government’s policies could be declared an “unlawful enemy combatant” and imprisoned indefinitely. That includes American citizens.

Why Is Eric Cantor Blocking the Congressional Insider Trading Act?

In a strange and unexpected twist, the Republican leader in the House of Representatives is now blocking progress on a bill that would definitively outlaw insider trading by federal lawmakers.

The Republican sponsor of the bill in the House, Financial Services Chairman Spencer Bachus of Alabama, had scheduled a markup of the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act for next week. But on Wednesday, Majority Leader Eric Cantor of Virginia cancelled the markup session.

Cantor reportedly said he blocked the bill to give Congress more time to examine the issue. Critics of the move, however, fear that any delay could kill the bill entirely.

The Collapse of the - WORLD Financial System
Why MF Global is worse than Europe

The shocking collapse of MF Global with the amount of missing client funds now rising to $1.2 billion, is so devastating, we are at the precipice of complete financial disaster. The United States boasts far too much of its greatness and “liberty and justice for all” but its actions reveal nothing but greed, distain, and contempt of the rights of man that include his right to property. Jon Corzine was a bond trader at Goldman Sachs and has been known as an aggressive trader all along. He intervened at the SEC and changed the direction of MF Global. What is at stake now is exposing the political corruption of the New York media, courts, Justice Department, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Securities Exchange Commission, and political process has come together in such a way that the fate of the nation is truly hanging in the balance. Why do I make such a bold statement? The failure of the clearing houses to step up and honor the trades is devastating. The conduct of the SEC and CFTC is despicable and how can you place ANYONE at the helm of either “regulator” who would EVER be in a position to have to recuse himself as the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s chairman, Gary Gensler has done for being ex-Goldman Sachs?

The same was true about Hank Paulson claiming to be Secretary of the Treasury, who signs conflict of interest restrictions regarding Goldman Sachs upon taking office, but when the meltdown takes place gets everything was waved so he could deal with the very firm at the very moment of conflict! This status of Goldman Sachs Alumni infiltrating the executive functions (non-elected) both in America and Europe is threatening our very way of life. Enough is enough. We do not need recusals and unenforceable conflict of interest covenants that are inevitably waived when the Justice Department would never prosecute a violation anyway. We need HONEST government. We need the RIGHT to sue the press for NOT reporting the truth before judges who have NEVER worked for government and are NOT there for life.
