This next move to remove more of our freedom will create an even stronger two class society. The haves (Wall Street and TBTF corporations like big oil, insurance and pharmaceuticals) will have even more privileged power. That is how it works in non democratic republics. Corruption will run even more wild then it does today. The top class will have immunity (seems like they already have that) while the lower class (the 99%) will live in constant fear. We are not safe in our homes today as the banks can grab our homes, send in thugs to steal our posessions and physically have us removed - all the while our "nationalized" police force stands by and watches.
This is too important to just gloss over. As such, I will add links and posts from Washington's Blog as well.
There is a transformation going on in this country. Some saw it during the rise of Hitler but many in Europe stood by and said it could not happen and there was no danger. My grandfather was one who did not believe he could be affected...he WAS!
There is a danger here in our America. Greed and wealth has infected most of our politicians. They serve not for our country ... they serve for their own personal power and monetary gains. Unexplained greed has overshadowed the basic principals that this country, its' founders and leaders have always stood for.
These are dark days in our history.

Why Is Eric Cantor Blocking the Congressional Insider Trading Act?
In a strange and unexpected twist, the Republican leader in the House of Representatives is now blocking progress on a bill that would definitively outlaw insider trading by federal lawmakers.
The Republican sponsor of the bill in the House, Financial Services Chairman Spencer Bachus of Alabama, had scheduled a markup of the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act for next week. But on Wednesday, Majority Leader Eric Cantor of Virginia cancelled the markup session.
Cantor reportedly said he blocked the bill to give Congress more time to examine the issue. Critics of the move, however, fear that any delay could kill the bill entirely.

The shocking collapse of MF Global with the amount of missing client funds now rising to $1.2 billion, is so devastating, we are at the precipice of complete financial disaster. The United States boasts far too much of its greatness and “liberty and justice for all” but its actions reveal nothing but greed, distain, and contempt of the rights of man that include his right to property. Jon Corzine was a bond trader at Goldman Sachs and has been known as an aggressive trader all along. He intervened at the SEC and changed the direction of MF Global. What is at stake now is exposing the political corruption of the New York media, courts, Justice Department, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Securities Exchange Commission, and political process has come together in such a way that the fate of the nation is truly hanging in the balance. Why do I make such a bold statement? The failure of the clearing houses to step up and honor the trades is devastating. The conduct of the SEC and CFTC is despicable and how can you place ANYONE at the helm of either “regulator” who would EVER be in a position to have to recuse himself as the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s chairman, Gary Gensler has done for being ex-Goldman Sachs?
The same was true about Hank Paulson claiming to be Secretary of the Treasury, who signs conflict of interest restrictions regarding Goldman Sachs upon taking office, but when the meltdown takes place gets everything was waved so he could deal with the very firm at the very moment of conflict! This status of Goldman Sachs Alumni infiltrating the executive functions (non-elected) both in America and Europe is threatening our very way of life. Enough is enough. We do not need recusals and unenforceable conflict of interest covenants that are inevitably waived when the Justice Department would never prosecute a violation anyway. We need HONEST government. We need the RIGHT to sue the press for NOT reporting the truth before judges who have NEVER worked for government and are NOT there for life.
